A documentary about the lost civilization of the Guanches, the aboriginals of Canary Islands

Living isolated from the rest of the world, the Guanches believed they were the only survivors of a terrible natural catastrophe that wiped out humanity – until Spanish sailors stepped on the Canary islands.
More than 1500 years separated the two cultures.

About

Over three years in the making project, covering footage from 4 different islands and across the Atlantic Ocean, with 11 interviews from specialists on the subject. Distributed by ZED in Paris, the film was shown in cinemas in Tenerife (Multicines), Gran Canaria (Monopol) and La Palma (La Casa de la Cultura) in May 2017. The film was also broadcasted on VTV Vietnam  in 2018, Direct+ and Neovision in 2019.
